The Slow Show (originally from Manchester) are a band known for their atmospheric soundscapes, poetic lyricism, and the distinctive baritone vocals of frontman Rob Goodwin. Tom Pintens (1974–2023) was a versatile Belgian singer, guitarist, pianist, and sound designer who made his mark in the Belgian pop and rock scene. Throughout his career, he played with several influential bands, including Zita Swoon and Het Zesde Metaal, and released a number of solo albums that showcased his distinctive blend of emotion and craftsmanship. Beyond performing, he worked as a producer, composer for film and theatre, and mentor to young artists like Tamino. His music blended classical training with experimental rock and intuitive, emotionally resonant pop written mainly in Dutch.

On his birthday, November 14, this record is released, featuring a selection of tracks that Tom Pintens recorded over the years in 2 Meter Sessions, both solo and with various bands. Formed in Brooklyn in 2010, Augustines quickly earned a reputation for their emotionally charged indie rock and cathartic live performances. Fronted by singer-songwriter William McCarthy alongside multi-instrumentalist Eric Sanderson and drummer Rob Allen, the band rose from personal tragedy to create music that was both raw and uplifting.
