Stef Kamil Carlens is a Belgian multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and artist, best known as the founder of Zita Swoon (formerly Moondog Jr.) and as the former bassist of dEUS (1987–1996). Since 2017, he has built a successful solo career with two albums: Stuck in the Status Quo (2017) and Making Sense of Infinity (2019), the latter praised for its layered arrangements and experimental yet inviting style.
Stef Kamil Carlens’ 2 Meter Session is a powerful and varied portrait of an artist who effortlessly weaves together his musical history and solo ambitions. The selection of songs from his solo records alongside Moondog Jr. and Zita Swoon classics creates a fine balance between nostalgia and artistic exploration.
