Formed in Brooklyn in 2010, Augustines quickly earned a reputation for their emotionally charged indie rock and cathartic live performances. Fronted by singer-songwriter William McCarthy alongside multi-instrumentalist Eric Sanderson and drummer Rob Allen, the band rose from personal tragedy to create music that was both raw and uplifting. Their debut album, Rise Ye Sunken Ships (2011), transformed grief and loss into songs of resilience, while their self-titled follow-up Augustines (2014) radiated hope through soaring anthems and heartfelt lyricism.

Beyond their records, Augustines became legendary for the intensity of their concerts. Known to step off the stage and perform among the audience, they created an atmosphere of unity that turned each show into a communal experience.
